Initial revamp web build
I'm in the process of re-writing this from scratch. The original game was never meant to extend past the basic infinite waves structure that it stopped at. I've picked this project back up to build a complete product from it. The intention is just to build it out and keep it on itch. I'm not building this to try and develop a commercial product, but it should have everything a commercial product would have.
This initial build just contains the bare essentials of systems to get started.
- simple enemy
- core player with keyboard and controller support
- pooled projectiles for enemies and player
- enemy spawn system
- chunked background scroll system
The next major piece will be building out a level editor. My expectation is just to build this as an @Tool script within Godot with import/export support for .tres files representing levels.
The overall goal is to have a completely functional game, with a couple levels representing about ten minutes of total game time, by January 1st, 2026.
